Berlin, Germany-based Green Grizzly GmbH is bringing Wholey frozen smoothie bowls to the United Kingdom retail market. Priced at £3.69, Ocean, Açaí, Tropical and Dragon Fruit flavors will be available via CLF Distribution beginning January 15.
Wholey products were launched in 2017 by four former German professional hockey players and a passionate footballer, using only organic ingredients. Founders Alexander Stahr, Casimir von Carmer, Philipp Stahr, Clemence Chulze and Alexander Carsten were faced with the challenge of finding plant-based meal options that could conveniently be consumed while juggled daily responsibilities of raising children, attending meetings and participating in training sessions. Unable to identify a quick and nutritious solution without depending on the opening times of cafes and supermarkets, or settling for undesirable home fast food choice, they took matters into their own hands – and test kitchens.
All fruit and vegetable ingredients in Wholey products have been harvested as soon as they have reached maturity and quickly deep frozen to ensure the integrity of vitamins and nutrients. Depending on the recipe, there are also grasses, herbs, nuts and nut butters in the bowls innovative bowls, as well as exotic fruits such as red pitaya and blue spirulina,
For preparation, no laborious chopping is required, as portioned freezer pack needs simply to be added to a mixer and blended with 150 ml of water to create a creamy mixture in 60 seconds.The vegan bowls are all sustainable.
