Building on the success of the No. 1 Rowntree’s ice lolly brand in the United Kingdom, Froneri aims to debut the Rowntree’s Fruit Stack this summer. It will feature strawberry, orange and apple flavors all in one lolly.
With the brand now worth £29 million and having achieved 76% growth in value during the last two years, the rollout will capitalize on the popularity of a family favorite. More than 3.6 million shoppers buy the Rowntree’s brand, according to Kantar. Each 55-calorie lolly contains over 20% fruit content with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
“We’re really excited about the Fruit Stack launch, which offers something for everyone with three different mainstream flavors in one innovative lolly to ensure mainstream appeal, while bringing to life the fruity credentials of the brand,” said Brunhilde van Antwerp, Froneri’s head of marketing in the UK.
Froneri has also announced that it will be debuting the Rowntree’s Mix’d Pack. It features a dozen full-size ice lollies – three each of Fruit Pastilles, Tropical Push Ups, Strawberry and Watermelon ice lollies.
The Rowntree’s Fruit Stack is available in a pack of four offered at a recommended retail price of £2.20, while the Rowntree’s Mix’d Pack has an RRP of £3.50.
