Baltimore, Maryland, USA-headquartered Phillips Foods will debut 10 value added retail products nationally this summer. Among them are three encrusted fish dishes: Tri-Color Tortilla Flounder, Lime & Cilantro Chimichurri Flounder, and Spicy Sriracha Flounder. Each offering will also be available using sole fillets.
Two new seafood dips are ready to be rolled out. The first, Honey Chipotle Crab Dip, is a sweet and spicy creation with crab, chipotle peppers, cumin, cilantro, corn and black beans. The second, Bacon Horseradish Seafood Dip, features a spicy and smoky cream cheese blend with shrimp, crab, bacon and a touch of horseradish. Both are distributed frozen.
Salmon Chowder is one of two additions to Phillips Foods’ Soup For One range. Also distributed frozen, it features a hearty, cream-based soup with chunks of salmon, sweet potatoes, bacon and herbs. The second offering is Seafood Cioppino, a San Francisco favorite featuring fish, shrimp, crab and scallops in a zesty tomato broth.
The Phillips To Go line, sold from the refrigerated section of retail stores, will have three new heat-and-eat meal options: Lobster Cakes (four cakes made of North American lobster with onion, celery, butter crackers and a dash of citrus); Lobster Mac & Cheese (a blend of lobster and cavatappi pasta with creamy Cheddar, Monterey Jack and Parmesan cheeses); and Tuna Burgers (four albacore tuna burgers mixed with a savory blend of garlic, onion and herbs).
“Crafted by our own restaurant chefs, these new frozen and refrigerated, on-trend products meet consumers’ demand for high-quality seafood they can easily prepare at home,” said Rebekah Cady, marketing and packaging manager.
