The Lidl grocery chain will drop prices on more than 100 items, including frozen SKUs, at its stores across nine East Coast states in the USA in a campaign that kicks off June 8 and runs through the end of August.
“As many families contend with rising prices due to inflation, we hope to ease their financial burden at the checkout counter by investing even more to lower our prices. This price-cutting drive is part of our ongoing commitment to offer the best value in every community we serve,” said Michal Lagunionek, president and chief executive officer of the Alexandria, Virginia-headquartered operation.
Among frozen products on the discount list are: Vegetable Mini Egg Rolls, offered at a 60-cent price cut from $5.99 to $5.39; Vegetable Lasagna, slashed by 70-cents to $6.29; Gelatelli Mini Mix Classic Frozen Dairy Dessert Bars, cut 54-cents to $4.85.
Headquartered in Germany, Lidl operates around 11,550 stores and is active in 32 countries, employing more than 341,000 employees globally. Activities have expanded in the United States since operations began in June of 2015, with more than 150 stores open for business today.
