Frozen products dominate the list of eight finalists in the Seafood Excellence Asia Awards competition that will take place during the September 4-6 Seafood Expo Asia in Singapore. Selected based on several criteria including innovation, packaging, pricing, and market acceptance, the finalists include:
• Lucky Bags featuring a blend of pangasius surimi, shrimp and vegetables from Vinh Hoan Corporation of Vietnam
• Gourmet Milkfish Fillet Variety Pack from Fisher Farms, Incorporated of the Philippines
• Corn and Coconut Breaded Shrimp, also from Fisher Farms
• Caleta Bay Smoked Trout “Algae & Insects” from Caleta Bay of ChileTuna Potstickers from Tuna House Trading Co., Ltd. of Taiwan
• Trout Caviar from AquaPri A/S of Denmark
• Fish Soup- Gogi Flavor from Tzukuan Fisheries Association of Taiwan
• Mr. Seabass 8-Minute Fish Steak from Yeam Seng Frozen Goods & Fishery Sdn Bhd of Malaysia
Live judging and tasting of the finalist products will be conducted by a panel of high-volume seafood buyers and industry experts from retail and foodservice sectors across Asia.
