The Greater Knead, a Bensalem, Pennsylvania-based producer of New York-style bagels, unveiled refreshed packaging and spotlighted a new line featuring four soft pretzel nugget flavors that go from the freezer into the oven or air fryer for preparation in just six to eight minutes, at the June 12-14 Summer Fancy Food Show at the Javits Center in New York City.
The company’s Non-GMO Project Verified products are made with premium, all-natural ingredients and are gluten-free, top 9 allergen-free vegan, and kosher. They contain no wheat, milk, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish or sesame.
“With the addition of new eye-catching photography and bolder graphics, our refreshed packaging better captures the unique texture, taste and variety of our products and highlights our flavors and certifications even more prominently,” said CEO and Founder Michelle Carfagno. “Our soft pretzels have already received an incredible amount of interest, and the second half of 2022 looks to be a record-breaking year of growth for us.”
Flavors of the gluten-free soft pretzel nuggets are:
Classic – The traditional soft baked pretzel nugget is warm and chewy on the inside and crusty on the outside. It pairs well with mustard, hummus or even plant-based dips. A salt packet is included.
Cinnamon Sugar – Offering a balanced combination of sugar and cinnamon, this doughy delight is a delectable treat with chocolate fondue or honey. A cinnamon and sugar packet is included for applying the level of sweet seasoning desired.
Everything – Savory with a blend of seasoned including a light mix of poppy, garlic and onion that won’t overpower, these pretzels are inspired by the flavors of an Everything bagel.
Spicy Buffalo –The newest gluten-free flavor features a seasoned buffalo-style doughy nugget. It includes a seasoning packet to apply as little or as much mild yet zesty hot sauce, as preferred.
The new soft pretzels are sold in the frozen food aisles at Meijer, Wegmans, and Price Chopper, and are coming soon to Wakefern/Shoprite stores, Whole Foods Market Mid-Atlantic, and independent health food stores in the Northeast. Distribution at additional retail chains is anticipated this fall and winter. The suggested retail price for the pretzels, which are also available for purchase online, is $8.49 per 4.93 oz. package.
