Guillaume Debrosse will become chief executive officer of the Villeneuve d’Ascq, France-headquartered Bonduelle Group on July 1. The announcement was made by Chairman Christophe Bonduelle during an April 5 gathering of approximately 1,300 managers and key personnel of the frozen, canned and fresh-pack vegetable company.
Since joining the group in 2007, the Bonduelle family member has held several finance and executive management positions in the fresh processed operating segment. Over the past four years he has been based in Moscow, serving as managing director of the BEAM (Bonduelle EurAsia Markets) business unit.
In the new role as ceo, the following executive co-directors will report to Debrosse:
- Philippe Carreau, in charge of the Europe zone encompassing the Bonduelle Europe Long Life (BELL) and Bonduelle Fresh Europe (BFE) business units
- Grégory Sanson, head of the group’s financial and development department
- Daniel Vielfaure, in charge of the Americas zone, encompassing the following Bonduelle Fresh Americas (BFA) and Bonduelle Americas Long Life (BALL) enterprises.
The BEAM business unit will still be under the direct management of Debrosse; Christophe Bonduelle will remain chairman of the group, serving in a non-executive capacity.
According to a statement issued by the company, which posted annual turnover over €2 billion last year:
“This organizational change reflects the group’s new dimension, its international expansion, and the VegeGo! ambition to be the world reference in ‘well-living’ through plant-based food. It maintains business units, while encouraging the synergies between them in the various geographical areas. Finally, it ensures the progressive succession of Christophe Bonduelle, respecting the long-term sustainability objective set by the family shareholder.”
