Wells Enterprises’ Halo Top brand is adding several more frozen treats to its portfolio this summer, namely Fudge Pops on sticks and two light versions of Chocolate Caramel Brownie and Vanilla Caramel Milkshake ice cream in pints.
Providing a good source of protein and containing just 80 calories per serving, the Fudge Pops are made with a rich, chocolatey mix of cocoas that deliver what brand manager Ryan Roznowski says is “the ultimate fudge experience for chocolate lovers who don’t want to sacrifice wellness goals to enjoy their favorite dessert, whether on the go or at home.”
A box of four 3-fluid ounce pops sells for $4.99 at retail stores across the United States. Carrying the same price are the two new pint offerings, which are detailed below.
• Chocolate Caramel Brownie is loaded with chunky brownie pieces that add gooey texture to a creamy base of chocolate light ice cream, plus velvety ribbons of caramel swirled throughout. Calories per pint: 360; Protein: 21g; Sugar: 30g
• Vanilla Caramel Milkshake features swirls of rich caramel and a sweet and creamy vanilla base. Calories per pint: 340; Protein; 19g, Sugar: 33g
Halo Top was founded in 2011 and launched a year later in Los Angeles on the premise of supplying premium desserts that people can feel good about eating. Named in Nielsen’s 2018 Top 25 Breakthrough Innovation Awards for the US market, the brand has disrupted the frozen category and influenced the growth of the industry. It was acquired in 2019 by Le Mars, Iowa-headquartered Wells Enterprises, the largest privately held, family-owned ice cream manufacturer in North America.
