Henningsen Cold Storage Co. has opened its second facility in Salem and fifth in the state of Oregon. Located on the Interstate Highway 5 corridor at the Mill Creek Corporate Center, the 176,000-square-foot refrigerated warehouse offers 6,000,000 cubic feet of temperature-controlled space featuring 26,000 pallet positions.
The facility is one of 11 in a USA network that offers 60,000,000 cubic feet of combined space at locations spanning the nation from Oregon and Washington to Idaho, South Dakota, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. The latest addition to the group was built to serve growing needs of the Willamette Valley region’s robust food manufacturing base.
Incorporated in the first round of an eventual four-phase development project is over 20,000 square feet of processor-dedicated space with direct access to Henningsen’s cold storage warehouse, thus eliminating the need to shuttle products in and out by truck. Future build-out of the 34-acre site will allow others to co-locate on site.
Henningsen is a fifth-generation family-owned business with roots dating back to 1923. More information about the company is available by visiting www.henningsen.com.
