Portland, Maine-headquartered Bristol Seafood has hired Iréne Moon as its new vice president of marketing. She comes aboard with significant experience in both marketing in general and the seafood sector in particular, having held positions at Diversified Communications, VNU Exhibitions, and Resource Trading, and most recently leading Grimsby, England-based Saucy Fish Co.’s sales and marketing efforts in North America.
“Iréne brings a wealth of experience, insight, and energy to our leadership team,” said President and CEO Peter Handy. “I look forward to working with her as we create more high quality products for consumers around the world.”
Bristol Seafood, founded in 1992, offers a variety of products that include mussels, scallops, haddock, cod and frozen-at-sea fillets. It is committed to sustainable business practices and is the first enterprise to earn a Fair Trade certification for seafood harvested in US waters. Additionally, it is certified to the Marine Stewardship Council’s chain of custody standard and operates an SQF certified processing plant.
In 2017, Bristol Seafood reported record sales for the third consecutive year, received Portland’s Business of the Year award, and announced a $5 million plant expansion.
