Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II congratulated Ishida Europe’s Managing Director Graham Clements during a recent reception at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the winners of this year’s Queen’s Awards for Enterprise.
Established in 1966, the Queen‘s Award recognises companies for their outstanding entrepreneurship and economic performance. Ishida Europe, a supplier of weighing, packing and quality control solutions, received its award in the International Trade category to acknowledge the company’s outstanding export successes over a number of years.
Birmingham, England-headquartered Ishida Europe, which supplies packaging machinery to the frozen food industry as well as other markets, is now eligible to use the Queen’s Award logo in its communications for the next five years.
Clements commented: “The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is a fantastic recognition for all Ishida employees who, with their hard work and dedication, have made a major contribution to our success. It also gives us further incentive to continue with our ambitious growth plans.”
Ishida Europe, established in 1985, is the first subsidiary of Kyoto, Japan-headquartered Ishida. The multinational parent company has been in business since 1893 and remains privately owned. It invented the multihead weigher and today produces a wide assortment of products ranging from weighing, packing and inspection equipment to entire packing line solutions for food and non-food industries.
