Pennsauken, New Jersey, USA-based J&J Snack Foods Corp. is partnering with the Mondelez International division of Nabisco in bringing out Oreo Churros. Shipped frozen to foodservice operators nationwide, the product serves up with a crispy exterior and warm soft interior featuring Oreo cookie pieces.
Oreo Churros were rolled out at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Show in Las Vegas last month. Available in traditional churro stick form, as well as in double-twisted churro and bite-size churro presentations, the product may be served with Oreo cookie creme dip, rolled in sugar or topped with ice cream.
“As the leading churro manufacturer, we are excited about our new relationship with the world famous Oreo cookie brand,” said Jerry Law, J&J Snack Foods senior vice president.
J&J Snack Foods is a leading US manufacturer of frozen churros, which are often referred to as a Spanish donut, under Tio Pepe’s Churros and California Churros brands. The company produces wide assortment of other frozen products, ranging from Superpretzels and funnel cakes to juice bars and ices.
