Kloosterboer Expands Logistics Services in Scandinavia

The Ijmuiden, Holland-headquartered Kloosterboer Group formally acquired Mosseporten Frysehotell AS in Moss, Norway, on May 22. The subterranean refrigerated warehouse, which is built into a mountain located approximately 60 kilometers from Oslo, is now conducting business as Kloosterboer Norway AS.

Bringing the facility into the Kloosterboer network strategically broadens its presence in Scandinavia, pointed out CEO Hans Kroes. In operation since 2009, it is one of the largest and most modern coldstores in Norway, offering clients 20,000 pallet positions for frozen food products.

Kloosterboer-NorwayKloosterboer’s subterranean coldstore in Norway is situated right by Route E6, near the Port of Moss.

“In combination with the team in Sweden, where we are currently finalizing a new fully automated high bay coldstore in Bjuv, we are well positioned to further develop our services as a logistics service provider in the market,” said Kroes.
