National Football League Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson will be the star performer at Arby’s 611 Eighth Avenue location in Midtown Manhattan on November 7, as the fast casual restaurant transforms into LaDainian Tomlinson’s Arby’s Steakhouse – complete with white tablecloths, linen napkins and candlelight – for one day and night only. The former New York Jets and San Diego Chargers running back will be on the scene from 11 AM to 2 PM for a ribbon cutting and autograph signing event as the chain rolls out its new Steak & Bacon Melt and Garlic Steak Sandwiches.
In advance of the opening LaDainian commented: “In the steak world, there’s this tradition of legendary football players opening premium steakhouses. LaDainian Tomlinson’s Arby’s Steakhouse continues this tradition, but in this case, I’m the football player and the steakhouse is an Arby’s.”
The Garlic Steak features thick-sliced tender filet steak, pepper bacon, green leaf lettuce and tomato on a toasted ciabatta roll and finished with roasted garlic butter, while the Steak & Bacon Melt boasts filet steak topped with melted cheddar, pepper bacon, crispy onions and steakhouse ranch sauce. Both offers will be available for a limited time.
