São Paulo, Brazil-headquartered JBS debuted the Seara Shawaya – Chicken for Roasting range of frozen whole chicken at the Gullfood exhibition that kicked off in Dubai, UAE on February 13.
The poultry products come already marinated with spices including Kabsa (cinnamon and anis), Hot Curry (coriander and cumin) and Italian (rosemary and basil) flavors – all ready to go directly from the freezer to the oven or air frier. And for consumers who like to spice and marinate to their own taste, the line also offers a frozen Whole Chicken Tender that comes without spices but is pre-marinated with brine to provide greater succulence and flavor.
Other products formulated to appeal to markets in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) are also being showcased at the fair five-day fair, where over 120 items produced at two local plants will be on display. The wide-ranging assortment includes a portfolio of Seara breaded chicken, chicken burgers and beef burgers, minced meats, sausages, meat balls, frozen seafood, frozen vegetables and fruits.
As for the company’s Brazilian beef products, Gulfood attendees will be able to see and sample cuts from the Black Friboi and 1953 ranges. Black Friboi is the brand’s premium halal portfolio derived from the top genetic Black Angus in the USA: only 1% of cattle meet the selection criteria, which include breeding on exclusive farms in Goiás committed to special feeding using locally produced cereals and grains to supplement different growth and maturity phases, thereby guaranteeing tasty meat with a high standard of quality.
Using the slogan “The Evolution of the Palate,” the 1953 Friboi product range includes more than 50 premium cuts of beef using raw materials from European breeds. The high quality line is certified by the International Taste & Quality Institute.
Other products within the 300-square-meter JBS stand area at the Dubai World Trade Center will be featured under the company’s Pilgrim’s, AMH, Novaprom, Rigamonti and Swift banners. Representatives from the Middle East, Brazil, Europe, the United States and Australia will be on hand, as well as personnel from elsewhere.
JBS is global leader in protein-based food production, employing over 250,000 people around the world. Its products are found on the tables of consumers in approximately 190 countries. The MENA region is currently one of the leading importers of meats from Brazil and one of the key priority markets for JBS.
