The Leon fast food chain in the United Kingdom is expanding its retail range with the introduction of three more frozen products and four microwaveable meal pouches set for rollout at Sainsbury’s, Whole Foods and Ocado on March 3. Inspired by restaurant dishes, the latest retail offerings provide convenient, tasty options that reflect the brand’s commitment to quality and sustainability.
The new SKUs, which are part of the brand’s strategy to bring more of its restaurant offerings into the home, mark a significant milestone for Leon Grocery with a 40% increase in distribution across Britain. The two ranges are inspired by some of Leon’s most most popular restaurant dishes, such as Fish Finger Wrap and Chicken Caesar Burger.
Frozen Favorites
Following the successful launch of Waffle Fries and GFC Nuggets into supermarkets, Leon’s new frozen offerings include the following:
Chunky Fish Fingers – Priced at £4.50, the sustainably sourced Wild Alaska Pollock is coated in a gluten-free batter. Certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), these fish fingers are high in protein and rich in Omega-3-rich.
Chicken Thigh Burgers – Inspired by the popular Chicken Caesar Burger mended at Leon Restaurants, the RRP is £5.
Hash Browns – Promoted as “not your average hash browns,” the recipe boasts five vegetables, including onion, parsnip, white cabbage and cauliflower, offering a good source of fiber. It sells for £3.40.
Leon’s new microwaveable pouch offerings, each priced at £2.50, include Brazilian Black Beans, Golden Lentil Dhal, Katsu Curry and Keralan Lentil. Packed with plant-based protein, fiber, pulses, herbs, and spices, they are ready to serve after just 90 seconds of zapping.
“Our goal with these launches is to make it even easier for everyone to enjoy naturally fast food at home. We’ve taken the same care and passion that goes into every restaurant dish and poured it into these new ranges,” said Miriam Rose, head of Leon’s grocery division.
