Lineage has announced the opening of its expanded temperature-controlled warehouse in Lębork, Poland. The 30% expansion boosts total pallet space capacity to over 40,000. Mobile racking systems have been implemented at the site, which is strategically situated within the Pomorskie region.
“We are keeping up with our commitments made to Poland, and more broadly Central and Eastern Europe, when we opened our new regional headquarters in Warsaw last year,” said Harald Peters, president of Lineage Europe. “In addition to our Lębork facility, we also have a cold storage warehouse with more than 43,000 pallet positions in Gdansk, home to one of Europe’s fastest growing ports.”
Daniel Chudzik, regional vice president of operations for Lineage in Central and Eastern Europe, added: “In the last decade the port of Gdańsk saw an increase of around 170% in transshipments, with roughly 68.2 million tons of transshipments in 2022. The Pomorskie region is clearly becoming a powerhouse of the Polish economy, and with this expansion Lineage has solidified its position as a leading temperature-controlled storage provider and integrated solutions provider in the region.”
Novi, Michigan, USA-headquartered Lineage entered the Polish market in 2020 following the acquisition and rebranding of Pago sp. z o.o., a leading warehousing, distribution and transport logistics provider in Poland.
