McCain Foods (India) Pvt Ltd has hired Piyush Patnaik as its new managing director. In charge of end-to-end operations ranging from manufacturing and supply chain to sales and distribution, he will head up sustainability and innovation for the frozen food company’s brands nationally.
Over the past 18 years, Patnaik has worked with various companies, including Coca-Cola and Dabur India. In his previous position at Cargill he served as the managing director leading pan-India sales and distribution efforts and a multichannel go-to-market teams across segments.
McCain India’s new chief executive holds an MBA in Supply Chain Management and Operations, as well as a degree in Chemical Engineering.
The McCain Foods business in India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of McCain Foods Limited in Canada. Since 1998, it has been engaged in agriculture R&D and in development of the frozen food market in India and subcontinent countries. McCain’s offerings, which include an extensive range of value-added potato products, are used by leading fast food chains and other restaurants, hotels and catering companies and are available at retail stores for in-home consumption. Among specialty items sold in the Indian market are Marsala Fries, Chilli Garlic Bites, Veggie Nuggets, Aloo Tikki and Cheese Corn Filling Mini Samosa.
