After 37 years with McCain Foods in Canada, Vice President of Retail Sales Mike Barry (pictured above) has opted to retire at the end of this year. Joining the frozen food company’s value-added potato products sales department in 1984, when Chairman H. Harrison McCain and President G. Wallace McCain were at the helm, he has witnessed tremendous growth within the national and international organization over nearly four decades on the job.
With Barry’s pending departure from the team, Matt Kohler has been recruited as managing director of the McCain’s retail business in Canada, a new position at the company. Responsible for marketing as well as sales, he brings more than 20 years of expertise to the fore, including recent experience as vice president of marketing in Canada for the Clorox Company.
Bryan McCourt, who has supervised McCain’s Canadian marketing team for several years, will now work as vice president in charge of foodservice sales and national accounts.
Meanwhile, McCain Foods Canada President Danielle Barran will expand her role in taking charge to head up the North American potato business.
