McDonald’s will welcome a new pastry to its McCafé Bakery assortment in the United States for a limited time starting September 14. The Cheese Danish features a sweet cream cheese filling and is topped with a buttery streusel and light vanilla drizzle. Positioned as “perfect to enjoy for breakfast or as an afternoon treat,” it will be available all day long at participating restaurants nationwide.
The product, which serves up 390 calories, is a new take on a pastry the fast food chain first offered in the 1980s. It joins a roster of McCafé Bakery items including the Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin and Cinnamon Roll with cream cheese icing. The McCafé lineup was first introduced in November of 2020.
