McDonald’s McRib is off the rack back on track in the USA, returning for a limited time at participating restaurants. Until now, the last time it was on the menu was in December of 2016.
The sandwich is made with 100 percent seasoned boneless pork accented with McDonald’s signature McRib sauce featuring a sweet, tangy, barbeque-style flavor. It’s served with dill pickles and mild, slivered onions on a toasted hoagie bun devoid of high-fructose corn syrup.
“The McRib is truly an iconic sandwich and has been a fan favorite since its debut on the McDonald’s menu 35 years ago in Kansas City,” said McDonald’s Chef Chad Schafer. “Our customers are passionate about it, and tell us they enjoy the sweetness of the barbeque sauce, which pairs perfectly with the hints of pickles and onions.”
McRib enthusiasts will be able to quickly locate where the sandwich is sold with the official ‘McRib Finder app’ for iOS and Android phones. Consumers can simply download the app and from there, find locations, and even swap McRib-themed stickers.
