The European Cold Storage and Logistics Association (ECSLA) has scheduled its Spring Cold Chain Logistics Conference for February 24-26 at the Crowne Plaza in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The two-day event, organized in association with the Dutch cold storage association Nekovri, aims to bring together delegates from all links of the industry. A number of plenary sessions will take place, in addition to a trade show, facility visits, the ECSLA Spring General Assembly and a networking dinner.
Meanwhile, ECSLA’s day-to-day management organization changed on January 1, when Brussels-based public affairs consultancy Eamonn Bates Europe took over from Van Sambeeck Management.
The association represents the interests of operators of several thousand refrigerated warehouses with storage capacity exceeding 40 million cubic meters, and related companies in Europe. Utilizing a team of specialists monitoring legislation and taking an active role in lobbying from Brussels, it is directly and indirectly engaged in influencing EU decision-makers on issues affecting the European cold storage industry.
Officers of ECSLA’s board of directors are: President Derk van Mackelenbergh of Eurofrigo BV, Netherlands; Vice President Rainer Wittenfeld of Kraftverkehr Nagel GmbH, Germany; Treasurer Manuel Cabrera Kabana of Frio Puerto Valencia SL, Spain.
The organization’s office has moved to Avenue Livingstone 13, B-1000 Brussels, Belgium. Its new phone number is +32 2 286 94 92, but the e-mail address remains the same: info@scsla.eu
