Pizza by the slice is nice enough as a favorite finger food. Now, for folks who like crispy cheese toasties with a bit of pizza pizzazz, Red Baron has begun rolling out Pizza Melt retail snack packs in North America. The panini-like product features “toppings” between toasted bread, rather than on top of a traditional pizza dough base. Three varieties are offered:
- Pepperoni Pizza Melt: pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni made with pork, chicken, and beef sandwiched between toast
- Supreme Pizza Melt: pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni made with pork, chicken, and beef, sausage made with pork and chicken, green and red peppers, and onions
- Four Cheese Pizza Melt: pizza sauce and mozzarella, cheddar, provolone and Parmesan cheeses in between toasted bread
Each box comes with a crisping tray, and just three minutes of microwave capping is needed to make the frozen treat ready to eat.
Bloomington, Minnesota-based Schwan’s Consumer Brands is offering a “Love It or It’s Free” guarantee for Red Baron Pizza Melt products purchased between March 16 and September 30, 2020. The Schwan Food Company subsidiary’s line of Red Baron brand frozen pizza ranges from family-sized and single-serve frozen pizzas, to snacks and meals found in more than 50,000 retail outlets across the United States and beyond.
