Dave Jones, vice president of industry initiatives at Kellogg Company, was elected chairman of the board of directors of the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA-headquartered National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) during its 74th annual membership meeting and luncheon held recently in San Diego, California.
Jones has been a member of the board since 2008. He served as vice chairman-frozen from 2013-16, as secretary from 2016-17, and chairman-elect from 2017-18. The frozen food industry veteran is also a member of the Honorable Order of Golden Penguins and Distinguished Order of Zerocrats.
Other officers sworn in at the NFRA’s annual meeting were: Joe D’Alberto of Acosta Sales & Marketing, chairman-elect; Neil Ritchey of Ajinomoto Foods North America, secretary; Ray Tarnowski of Philadelphia Warehousing & Cold Storage, treasurer; Steve Mayle of General Mills, vice chairman-frozen; and Bob Knodle of H.P. Hood, vice chairman-refrigerated.
Newly elected to the board of directors were: Rob Cohen of Bozzuto’s; Kristina Cole of Danone North America; George Denman of Graeter’s Ice Cream; Michelle Dorin of Weis Markets; Risa Jenkins of C&S Wholesale Grocers; Tim McNamara of Southeastern Grocers; Jeff Nelson of IMPACT Group; and Theresa Whitney of Albertson’s-Intermountain.
Elected for a second term on the Board of Directors were: Joey Bates of Harris Teeter; Bob Bollbach of RDD Associates; Randall King of Lowes Foods; Jim Motos of Rich’s Consumer Brands; and Marty Steinmetz of United States Cold Storage.
The NFRA is a non-profit trade association representing all segments of the frozen and refrigerated foods industry in the United States. It is the sponsor of March National Frozen Food Month, June Dairy Month, the June/July Ice Cream & Novelties promotion, and the Cool Food for Kids educational outreach program.
