Boroughbridge, Yorkshire, England-based Reed Boardall has promoted Norman Hartley to transport operations director of the cold storage and distribution company.
Previously head of transport operations, he joined the business in 2006 and has progressed through various positions including operations shift manager and planning manager. He will now be responsible for reviewing and developing processes to drive efficiency and achieve organizational growth.
Reed Boardall is one of the largest temperature-controlled food distribution service providers in the United Kingdom, storing and delivering frozen food from manufacturers across Britain, Europe and further afield to all of Britain’s major supermarket chains. Operating around the clock, its 200-strong fleet of vehicles moves an average of 12,000 pallets a day and the warehousing operation stores around £100 million worth of products on behalf of customers.
