Seattle, Washington-based Ocean Beauty Seafoods will unveil three initiatives at the upcoming March 17-19 Seafood Expo North America (SENA) in Boston, Massachusetts. They include a new Ocean Beauty retail line, new products under the Echo Falls brand, and a distribution partnership with Nomad Foods’ Findus frozen food line.
The launch of Ocean Beauty’s skin-packed seafood portions will feature wild Alaska sockeye salmon, Alaska halibut, Alaska cod, Pacific rockfish, farmed coho salmon and tilapia. Available in either fixed or random weights, this line allows retailers to sell premium seafood portions year-round without a need fir a full-service seafood case.
The show will also see the introduction of new premium smoked salmon products under Ocean Beauty’s Echo Falls label. Featured are smoked fish sourced and produced using authentic preparations from Alaska and Norway.
The introduction of these new products inspired the company to update Echo Falls brand packaging with a cleaner and bolder design. The new packaging highlights product transparency by clearly identifying the fish origin, species, flavor and smoke type.
Ocean Beauty will also debut Findus seafood products that it will be distributing to the US market under a recently announced distribution deal. Showcased will be quality frozen portions, breaded and value-added seafood and steamable flavored cod loins popular throughout Europe and now available in North America.
“We are very excited about our relationship with Findus to bring their products to the United States,” said Ron Christianson, vice president of domestic sales and marketing. “The company’s values and product quality are uniquely aligned with Ocean Beauty.”
Members of the Ocean Beauty and Findus teams will be on hand at the Boston show to share information with buyers. Check them out at Booth 1205.
