Lutosa, a name synonymous with value-added frozen potato products in Belgium and around the world, celebrated three anniversaries on December 9 at a soirée de gala evening honoring employees. The special occasion marked its 45th anniversary and saluted workers who have been on the job for 25 and 35 years.
The Leuze-en-Hainaut company inaugurated its second plant in 1988 at Sint-Eloois-Vijve (Waregem), which is 35 old this year. All the more reason to celebrate, since it coincides with ten years under the aegis of McCain.
Lutosa has steadily grown over the decades, adapting to market changes and becoming a respected innovator in potato processing. With exports going to some 146 countries and a dedicated workforce of nearly 1,000 employees, it has spent the past 45 years making significant achievements, forging strategic partnerships, and fostering an unwavering drive for customer satisfaction.
In 2013, when McCain acquired Lutosa, a new era dawned for the company. Under the leadership of Alain Duranleau, and today Alain Dufait, Lutosa has further cemented its position in the market, reaping the benefits of strategic synergies with its parent company.
“We are proud to celebrate 45 years in business. This is a significant milestone for us,” said Dufait. “Thank go to our customers, dedicated employees and partners who have all contributed to our ongoing success. Our last ten years under McCain’s banner were a time of growth and improvement, and we look forward to building on this successful collaboration.”
