Miami, Florida-based Pescanova USA has extended its line of value-added frozen seafood sold in supermarkets and other retail stores with the introduction of Easy to Cook Toss & Serve Shrimp distributed in 14-ounce (396 grams) bags.
“We are very excited to make shrimp dinners accessible to anyone who wants it, regardless of their cooking skills or time constraints. Sustainable seafood should be a part of everyone’s diet, and this is just one expression of that goal,” said CEO Chris Maze.
Featuring farm-raised Vannamei white shrimp that’s ready to serve after eight to ten minutes of pan frying at 165°F, the packs comes with a choice of three sauce flavors: citrus herb, salted butter with garlic, and chipotle sea salt.
Pescanova USA, a unit of the Redondela, Spain-headquartered Nueva Pescanova Group, also offers four-pack skewer versions of the product in see-through packs distributed nationwide. The parent company, in business for more than 50 year, established a physical presence in the United States during 1998. Globally it employs more than 11,000 people on four continents who specialize in fishing, farming, processing and marketing seafood products. Annual sales in 2018 exceeded €1,081 million and EBITA amounted to approximately €80 million.
