Rich Products subsidiary Farm Rich, based in St. Simons Island, Georgia, has added three cheesy snacks to its frozen finger food lineup: Plant-Based Mozzarella Style, Toasted Ravioli, and Pizza Crunchers Sticks. The new products are available in16-oz. and 18-oz. cartons priced at $7.99 at grocery stores across the USA.
In 1982, Farm Rich was the first company to introduce frozen mozzarella sticks to retail outlets. Forty-one years later, it is the first to debut Plant-Based Mozzarella Style Sticks, a cheese alternative snack that can be enjoyed by lactose intolerant customers as well as other consumers. The main ingredient is enrobed in crisp, golden breading and comes with a side of marinara sauce. Each serving has four grams of protein and 5% fiber.
“These new plant-based cheese sticks are a game changer,” according to Mia Syn, MS, RD, registered dietitian and nutrition expert. “A plant-forward approach to our diets has a proven track record for bettering our overall health, and these snacks are a great substitute for those who love breaded cheese sticks but need plant-based options.”
Meanwhile, Pizza Crunchers, made with 100% real mozzarella cheese, a layer of marinara sauce and wrapped in a crispy breading, deliver a filling, pizzeria-style snack in a handheld format. And with 12 grams of protein per serving, they are promoted as a “hearty after school snack.”
The third offering in the rollout, Toasted Raviolis are stuffed with a four-cheese blend that includes ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan and asiago. The fluffy pillows are covered in an Italian coating and served alongside a marinara dipping sauce. Each ravioli has six grams of protein and comes in a 16-oz. package with 4-oz marinara side.
“For over 40 years, Farm Rich has been making some of America’s favorite frozen snacks and appetizers,” said Meghan Ozamiz, director of marketing. “These newest products show our continued commitment to offering a variety of tasty snacks while keeping up with the evolving needs of our consumers.”
