Post Holdings, Inc. announced on December 17 that it has agreed to acquire Potato Products of Idaho (PPI). Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
PPI is a manufacturer and packager of frozen and refrigerated potato products sold to customers in the retail, foodservice, industrial and ingredients sectors. The acquisition, which includes a manufacturing facility in Rigby, Idaho, is expected to be completed in the first calendar quarter of 2025, which is Post’s second quarter of fiscal year 2025.
Post Holdings, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a consumer packaged goods holding company. Its businesses include Bob Evans Farms, Michaels Foods, Peter Pan peanut butter, Kibbles ‘n Bits and 9Lives dog and cat food, the Post Consumer Brands cereal portfolio in North America, and Weetabix, the United Kingdom’s number one selling ready-to-eat cereal. Revenues in 2024 were $7.92 billion, with net income amounting to approximately $367 million.
