San Clemente, California-based Sambazon, the frozen açaí brand leader in the United States, will roll out four new products at major retail stores in the United States during May. They will feature two Superfruit Packs: Performance Protein Superfruit and Supergreens Superfruit, retailing between $6.99 and $7.99; and two açaí sorbet flavors: Açaí + Coconut Creamy Sorbet and Açaí Chocolate + Chocolate Chip Creamy Sorbet, offered at a suggested price range of $4.99 to $5.99.
Energy-packed Açai fruit, which like blueberries is regarded as a “superfood” among many health enthusiasts, is loaded with fatty acids that aid the absorption of essential vitamins A, D, E and K. It is also rich in amino acids, which combined with fatty acids enhance muscle function and burn fat more efficiently.
Sambazon’s Superfruit Packs include daily essential nutrients for a well-balanced diet. The Performance Protein Superfruit Pack has 12 grams of plant-based protein, only 90 calories and five grams of sugar per serving. Enjoyed as an açaí bowl, smoothie or on its own as a frozen treat, it can be consumed as a functional meal or snack.
Sambazon’s Supergreens Superfruit Pack is made with kale and spinach and includes 1.5 servings of organic fruits and vegetables with only 70 calories and four grams of sugar. Blended as a fruit and vegetable smoothie or açaí bowl, the pack contains a rich source of vitamin A and fiber.
“We are thrilled to introduce the new Superfruit Packs and sorbet flavors to the Sambazon product family, providing consumers with more convenient access to the most nutritious, straight-from-the-source ingredients available from the Amazon,” said Ryan Black, the company’s founder and chief executive officer.
The new additions to the açaí sorbet range are organic, dairy-free, gluten-free and nutritious. Filled with powerful antioxidants and healthy omegas, Sambazon products are Certified USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified and made with Ecocert Fair Trade açaí.
