Andrea Festelli, managing director of Sesotec operations in Italy since April, has been tasked with merging the Schönberg, Germany-headquartered company’s Sesotec Italy and Advanced Sorting Machines (ASM) businesses. The native of Genoa was formerly managing director of GEA Westfalia Separator.
Established in 1976, Sesotec develops and manufactures optical sorting systems for the food processing industry and other sectors. Its equipment detects and separates contaminants from processing line flows.
Until two years ago, the company officially operated as S+S Separation and Sorting Technology GmbH. However, Sesotec had already been its Internet domain name for almost a decade.
“We really are pleased to have Andrea Festelli in our group, said Sesotec CEO Xaver Auer. “He has both industry expertise and relevant management experience. The complete merging and integration of our Italian subsidiaries will result in synergies, and the combination of product inspection and material sorting systems offers many advantages for our customers. For us this means that we will move forward even faster on our already successful course in Italy.”
