Grilled cheese sandwiches rank as one of the most popular comfort foods in the Western world, but perhaps only in America is there a “National Grilled Cheese Day,” which is celebrated every April 12.
In marking the occasion this year, the Chef M.J. Brando company is inviting consumers in the USA to try its frozen, microwaveable version of the product free of charge by taking advantage of a special rebate mail-in offer available exclusively on Facebook (www.facebook.com/chefmjbrando) until April 30, 2014.
Distributed in units of two per 7.2-ounce (210-gram) retail box, they come in what is said to be “the first-ever microwave sleeve technology designed specifically for grilled cheese,” resulting in crispy sandwiches ready to serve in less than two minutes of zapping.
“There is no other sandwich that is as universally crowd-pleasing like an authentic grilled cheese sandwich,” according to Steve Marlowe, chief executive officer of Chef M.J. Brando. “Without compromising on taste, our line of has made the entire process from start to finish a cinch in 90 seconds. There is nothing like it on the market today.”
Marlowe added that the product, which retails for $3.99 per twin-pack, maintains the taste and texture of traditional pan-cooked sandwiches without the hassle or mess of preparation.
Other items in the company’s range of frozen snacks and appetizers include Cheddar & Bacon Potato Skins, Reuben Bites, Fiesta Chicken Bites and Philly Cheese Steak Bites.
