Austin, Texas-headquartered Gathered Foods, producer of Good Catch plant-based faux seafood, has launched its fish-free tuna line at Sprouts Farmers Market outlets throughout the USA. This is the brand’s second product launch with the grocer, which will now stock Good Catch Plant-based Tuna in its freezer cases at more than 370 stores in 23 states.
The products feature a proprietary six-legume blend (peas, chickpeas, lentils, soy, fava beans and navy beans), which is high in protein and formulated to offer the flakiness, flavor and nutritional value of real seafood. Three flavors are available:
• Naked in Water is crafted to be a pantry staple, and an ingredient for added protein in daily meals. It best used as a 1:1 swap for conventional tuna.
• Mediterranean is promoted as having the same tuna taste and texture of Naked in Water, with rich and satisfying flavors inspired by Southern Europe – garlic, herbs, sweet pepper and a kick of spice.
• Oil & Herbs is ready to eat right out of the package paired with crackers or a green salad.
