Boston, Massachusetts-headquartered Stavis Seafoods has hired Brandii Holmdahl as its new director of quality. She comes to the company with more than 20 years of seafood industry experience, including operations management positions at Icicle Seafoods, Snowpak Seafoods and Snug Harbor in Alaska.
Holmdahl is charged with overseeing the overall quality and consistency of Stavis products, which includes managing food safety, standards implementation, auditing and developing process and traceability controls at all of the company’s locations. She will also be responsible for leading efforts to meet global standards of the British Retail Consortium (BRC).
“Brandii’s addition to the team is an essential part of our growth strategy,” said Richard Stavis, chief executive officer of Stavis Seafoods. “Quality will have a broader role in our business plan and this restructured position will partner with senior managers in making business, safety and even product decisions.
