Symphonie Pasquier and the Rémy Cointreau Group have fused the iconic French macaron with the essences of Chocolate and Orange Cointreau, Lime Cointreau and Mount Gay Barbados Rum. The patisserie is created by Pasquier’s pastry chefs who hold fast to signature recipes that ensure macarons with smooth crisp shells and a soft gooey center with a generous amount of filling. And now with the added subtlety of two popular alcoholic beverages, the Macarons “Cocktail” ushers the brand into evening events, pubs, bars, restaurants and of course, birthday parties and holiday celebrations.
Made in France by Symphonie Pasquier pâtissiers, the product is distributed frozen to maintain quality and increase shelf life and versatility. When needed, they are simply defrosted for four hours, removed from the packaging and plated. The Macarons “Cocktail” will last for five days after defrosting at chilled temperature and each pack contains 36 individual macarons in the three unique flavor. The sweet treats contain no preservatives, and are free of artificial colors as well as artificial flavors.
Macarons “Cocktail” is the latest addition to the Symphonie Pasquier range of high quality pâtisserie available to foodservice operators in the United Kingdom and other markets. The product joins other offerings that include individual tartelettes, petits fours and full-sized tartes.
“This is one of those moments when you say: ‘Why haven’t we done this before!’ The macaron is a French classic, perhaps the most popular of all desserts as it is incredibly flexible and perfect for parties. Adding Cointreau and Mount Gay Rum elevates it further to ensure these will become a firm favorite,” said Matthew Grenter, foodservice Sales manager. “We really believe that this will become one of our best-selling desserts, amongst very tough competition in our popular Symphonie Pasquier range.”
