T. Marzetti Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lancaster Colony Corporation, is introducing its first-ever gluten-free line of New York Bakery frozen bread. The innovative offering features gluten-free versions of the brand’s popular Garlic Texas Toast and Five Cheese Texas Toast. Both products will be available for purchase at Publix Walmart starting this fall, followed by expansion to Kroger, Albertsons and other grocery store chains across the United States.

With more than a decade of recipe and production research, the New York Bakery brand is raising the bar in gluten-free bread with its patent-pending dough recipe that preserves product texture, volume and structural integrity.

“Creating this gluten-free bread has been an inspiring journey for us and is a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality and to our consumers,” said Izzy Laanaba, the Westerville, Ohio-headquartered company’s senior director for brand management. “By leveraging cutting-edge techniques and our deep expertise, we’ve developed a dough-based recipe that replicates the flavor and texture of our classic breads.”

In addition to New York Bakery and Marzetti brands, the company produces Sister Schubert’s frozen dinner rolls, baguettes, snack bites and breakfast treats, and has exclusive license agreements for Olive Garden dressings, Chick-fil-A sauces and Buffalo Wild Wings sauces.
