The Thai Union Group inaugurated its first Thai Union Global Shop at the Phenix Food Wholesale Hub in Bangkok last week. The retail store features the company’s three core seafood product lines including frozen and chilled, ambient and value-added items. The shop facilitates connections between buyers, sellers and entrepreneurs from around the world.
The opening was led by Thanachote Boonmechote, managing director of the Thai Union’s shrimp business, and Panitta Mingsoongnern, senior marketing manager. Distinguished guests attending the event included Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Phumtham Wechayachai, Tourism and Sports Minister Sermsak Pongpanich, Culture Minister Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Wallapa Traisorat, chief executive officer and president, of Asset World Corp., and Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, chief executive officer and managing director of Thai Beverage PCL (all pictured below), along with representatives from the Phenix project team.
