Orange and Cream, Campfire Peanut Butter Cup and Neapolitan flavors have been added to the Tillamook line of family-size extra creamy premium ice cream products made by the Boardman, Oregon-headquartered Tillamook Country Creamery Association (TCCA) cooperative. Here’s the scoop on the range, which is now available at Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway, Target and other in retail stores in the USA:
• Neapolitan boasts old fashioned vanilla, chunky strawberry, and chocolate ice cream ice cream with an added chocolate ripple.
• Orange and Cream features a nostalgic flavor that brings together orange and sweet cream ice creams into one scoop reminiscent of the 50/50 bars sold at retail outlets and delivered by truck vendors in yesteryear America.
• Campfire Peanut Butter Cup serves up a limited-edition toasted marshmallow ice cream treat swirled with rich fudge and dotted with mini chocolatey peanut butter cups.
“When looking at our premium ice cream roster, we saw a flavor gap and knew just how to round it out by adding to our lineup. Research showed us that nostalgia is a key ice cream trend for 2023. Knowing consumers are looking for reimagined classics led to our new flavors,” said Ian Moppert, TCCA’s ice cream scientist.
The flavor additions come during a period of rapid expansion for the company, which saw sales grow by nearly 35% during 2022. This March, the dairy co-op expanded its footprint with the purchase of its first ice cream manufacturing plant outside of Oregon, in Decatur, Illinois to better serve eastern states and expand its customer base.
“We take great pride in doing things the right way. Our ice cream, like all our products, is made with the highest quality of ingredients, and you can really taste the difference,” added Moppert.
