TOMRA’s New Technical Director Sharpens Global R&D Focus

TOMRA Sorting Food has appointed Maciek Wasowski as its new technical director. Coming to the company with almost 20 years of experience in developing consumer electronics products, at TOMRA he will concentrate on the development of technology to enhance sorting performance and improve user experience.

The new technical director added that as management of natural resources is one of the food industry’s most important challenges today, he looks forward to developing technology crucial to the improved use of natural resources.

Previously employed as the software innovation director at TP Vision, Maciek was in charge of a team of more than 60 engineers working on innovations for Philips brand televisions. In the seven years prior he held the role of general manager at VAIO and Mobile of Europe at Sony, with responsibility for engineering activities for VAIO PCs and other mobile devices.
