The McLean, Virginia, USA-headquartered American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI) has added two new staff members to its regulatory and technical affairs, communications and government affairs departments, as well as promoted an employee to its conferences and member services departments.
Dr. Maia Jack has joined AFFI as director of regulatory and technical affairs. She most recently managed a food science consultancy business, providing strategic counseling on international food chemical policies and issues management. Dr. Jack previously held food science positions at the Grocery Manufacturers Association, Human Genome Sciences and the National Institutes of Health. She will report to Dr. Donna Garren, AFFI’s vice president of regulatory and technical affairs.
Ron Davis come to AFFI as coordinator of communications and government affairs after having previously worked at the Alliance for American Manufacturing and Cliffs Natural Resources. He will report to Corey Henry, vice president of communications, and Kristin Wilcox, vice president of government affairs.
Meanwhile, Austin Faganel has been promoted to the position of coordinator of conferences and member services. He joined AFFI in December of 2012 as a staff assistant.
The American Frozen Food Institute is the national trade association promoting and representing the interests of all segments of the frozen food industry.
