Approximately 3,448 pounds of Trader Joe’s Chicken Breakfast Sausage (SKU# 046618) are being recalled from stores in 12 states in the northeastern United States, plus Washington DC, by Danvers, Massachusetts-based DiLuigi Foods Inc. The product, distributed in1-lb. vacuum-sealed packages containing five pieces, may contain soy lecithin, an allergen which is not listed in the ingredients by the manufacturer, according to the USDA’s Food Safety & Inspection Service (FSIS).
Meanwhile, Oakland, California-based Blossom Foods is recalling approximately 15,092 pounds of assorted frozen beef, chicken and pork products due to misbranding and undeclared soy and wheat allergens. They range from Barbeque, Spanish and Savory Beef to Barbecue Pork, Breakfast Sausage, and Chicken and Dumplings.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
