The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced the recall of frozen U Bake All Dressed Pizza and U Bake Super Pizza produced by Regina, Saskatchewan-based Tumblers Pizza. The undeclared presence of mustard in the products triggered the action, as the ingredient may cause allergic reactions among some consumers.
The UPC code on packs of the 1.8 kg All Dressed Pizza is 7 41365 81038 4, while 1.9 kg Super Pizza’s UPC code is 7 41365 81039 1.
The recall followed a consumer complaint, and thus far there has been one reported reaction associated with consumption of these products, reported the CFIA. While other frozen items in the Tumblers Pizza range are not subject to the recall at this time, the agency is conducting a food safety investigation which could lead to further action.
