Valparaiso, Indiana, USA-headquartered Urschel Laboratories will be displaying a range of new equipment along with well established kit at the Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, Germany, March 24-27. Its new Large Affinity Dicer, in addition to two other new food dicers and size reduction machines, will be spotlighted at Stand F-040 in Hall 10.1 at the Koelnmesse.
The Affinity Dicer efficiently cuts through products including cheese, soft meats and candied fruits with ease, and can produce dices as small as 1/8 inch.
Also on display will be the Sprint 2 Dicer, which boasts a three-horsepower motor, and the DiversaCut 211OA. This latest innovation in food cutting technology from Urschel produces dices, slices, strips and shreds of fruits, meats, vegetables and baked goods. It also eliminates the need for pre-cutting, saving both time and money.
Covering the global marketplace, Urschel is a major supplier to makers of frozen potato and vegetable products. Well known brand manufacturers as well as private label packers are its customers. Among the latter is Clarebout Potatoes NV of Belgium, which specializes in french fries and other pre-fried potato items, in addition to flakes. It recently added four DiversaCut 2110 Dicers at its processing plant in Nieuwkerke.
Clarebout now operates 12 DiversaCut 2110® Dicers for the processing of dices and crinkle-cut french fries. In addition to relying on Urschel dicers, the company also utilizes Urschel milling equipment. Two Comitrol® Processors are in-line for the production of rösti potatoes and the milling of potato flakes within a specified particle size range.
Founded in 1910, Urschel Laboratories Inc. has been an innovator in food cutting equipment manufacturing for more than a century. Working with customers to develop solutions to food processing problems, the company’s cutting-edge equipment is on the job in over 100 countries.
