Kontos Foods, a Paterson, New Jersey, USA-based manufacturer of frozen Greek and Mediterranean-style baked goods, is returning to KosherFest with its full lineup of Kosher Pareve and Pas Yisroel-certified flatbreads, fillo dough and ready-made fillo products including spanakopita. The show will take place November 12 and 13 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey.
Front and center in Kontos Booth #6087 will be Gordita handmade soft flatbread “taco shells,” offered as “perfect for making stuffed sandwiches.” Like most Kontos flatbreads, Gorditas contain no trans fats, are 100% vegetarian and certified Kosher-Pareve (Pas Yisroel).
The company will also be spotlighting Toasted Tidbits. The crunchy snack, made from its signature gyro bread, pairs well with kosher dips, soups or salads.
Just in time for the winter holiday entertaining season are Kontos Cocktail Flatbreads, as well as 2-piece Pizza Crust and 2-piece 9-inch Pre-Grilled Panini.
The company will also be promoting its popular Pocket-Less Pita and Greek Lifestyle Flatbread at the Secaucus venue, in addition to fillo dough in various thicknesses, and ready-made fillo products such as Baklava and Nut Rolls, plus savory Spanakopita and Tyropita pastry.
The $24 billion kosher food marketplace is on track to grow 11.5% by 2025, according to the Kosher Network International. Indeed, the cuisine is becoming more mainstream as an increasing number of consumers choose foods that follow kosher dietary guidelines, based on health or cultural reasons.
“The number of kosher products and varieties available for foodservice or retail has spiked over the last few decades,” said Warren Stoll, marketing director at Kontos Foods. “Our pre-made kosher fillo products are ideal to have in the freezer to have on hand for fast and easy entertaining.”
