Fish is the dish for British TV presenter Ruth Langsford at the moment, as she has collaborated with Young’s Seafood Chef Serge Nollent to produce videos promoting recipes featuring the Grimsby, England-based company’s products.
“I hate wasting food, so using frozen is a really good way to avoid that,” says Langsford in an introduction to one of the clips in which Young’s Gastro Chunky Cod Fingers are the main ingredient in the creation of “the ultimate fish finger sandwich.”
In addition to this menu pleaser, Nollent goes through the steps of making a number of other quick, tasty fish-based family meals in companion videos. One includes made-from-frozen minted mushy peas as a side dish, and another features Young’s Simply Breaded Cod Fillets paired with a fresh tomato and fennel salad.
“I’m a busy working Mum and know the pressure there is to put something tasty on the table that everyone will enjoy. These delicious recipes will help to take the hassle out of mealtimes. Young’s just takes all the hard work out of it for you, which means more quality time and quality food together with family,” says Langsford.
The short videos, which run under three minutes in length, have been uploaded across social platforms and websites including Youtube. They will be bolstered with blogger endorsement activity.
Langsford, best known for presenting numerous television programs with her husband Eamonn Holmes, such as This Morning, Gift Wrapped and How the Other Half Lives, is expected to especially appeal to mothers who generally make the buying decisions for family meal ingredients.
